Altitude Consultancy partnership with Australian Broadcaster in international expansion.

[SYDNEY] Altitude Consultancy have announced an extension to its existing broadcast partnership with multi-national broadcaster Sports Flick in its international expansion into Central America.

As part of this landmark agreement, Altitude Consultancy have provided a Head of Marketing on secondment, along with a team of marketing specialists, and a production team to its existing operations in Australia and New Zealand.

Sports Flick announced its acquisition of the global rights of the local Nicaraguan Liga Primera competition, with Altitude Consultancy providing assistance and liaison with the competitions’ management team on production, broadcast, quality control, workflow and marketing strategies.

The strategy required on-going management with stakeholders in Germany, Australia, Central America, Spain and the United States to coordinate advancements and improvements to the broadcasting and marketing rollout in line with international standards utilising a cloud-based approach.

The historic deal between Sports Flick and Liga Primera is the first successful international broadcast arrangement by an Australian broadcaster with the league available to view in every country in the world.

The deal is also the first subscription-based OTT TV rights deal in Nicaragua and for the Liga Primera.

“Working with Altitude Consultancy has made the expansion into Central America a seamless process, bringing professional marketing strategy and production experience to a growing football region” Dylan Azzopardi CEO of Sports Flick said.

“The rights deal has been one of the more complex acquisitions due to seeking growth in a new market, however the skill and expertise of Altitude Consultancy has led to a very seamless transition and already we are seeing a large uptake in interest and subscriptions both domestically and internationally.”

Altitude Consultancy will continue to manage the Sports Flick Marketing and Production departments as part of this agreement as the broadcaster looks to grow its properties and marketing presence in Australia and Central America.
